recipe: summer smoothie

i thought sainsbury's (so called UK third largest chain of supermarket) would put the berries on summer sale rack, despite the fact that every shops are currently having sale. 1.99 quids for half kilo of strawberry wasn't that bad. raspberry came in 2.49 quids, still acceptable. i didn't find any blueberry, too bad. i decided to buy these strawberry and raspberry.
those fruits were inspiring me to make fruit smoothie. i stumbled upon some cooking website and tried to figure out the recipe using the ingredients i had. luckily there's still enough stock of plain yoghurt, strawberry jam and ice water in the fridge. yay, i'm so gonna make my own summer smoothie!
THANE'S SUMMER SMOOTHIE
ingredients:
- a handful of frozen strawberries
- a handful of frozen raspberries
- 1 medium banana
- 5 tablespoons of low fat yoghurt
- 1 heaped teaspoon of strawberry jam or honey
- half glass of ice water
preparation method:
- place everything in a blender
- blend everything until smooth
- pour into serving glasses (for two)
- enjoy it immediately under perfect summer weather ; )
